Simple Mothersday Card with Stampin’ Up! Amazing You!

I’m not going to lie, the whole reasont hat I chose the “Amazing You” stamp set as one of my FREE saleabration items was to use it for a mothersday card. I love the flower and had seen lots of people using their Stampin’ Write markers to colour in the stamp making it different colours. I love the look of it and knew that I wanted to try it on this card for my own Amazing Mum!

As always you can find the video tutorial at the bottom of this blog post along with the products used. Enjoy!

First you want to cut and score the cardstock:

  • Crumb Cake to: 8 2/8″ x 5 6/8″ (21cm x 14.7cm) Score this at 4 1/8″ (10.5cm)
  • Whisper white: 3 7/8″ x 5 5/8″ (14.2 cm x 5.8cm) Cut 2 of these

You then want to fold your crumb cake cardstock and run your bone folder up the crease, this will make it sit nice and flat.

Take the first piece of whisper white card stock and use your stampin’ write markers to colour the stamp in. I used berry burst to colour the flower, then lemon lime twist for the leaves and crumb cake for the sprigs. I repeated this process a few times until I had acheived the look i desired. Tip: try to stamp of the edge of the card a couple of times, this gives more interest to a page and is a technique that I use in lots of my projects.

I chose to stamp the sentiment in the reverse dominant colours to the flowers. So berry burst being the most dominant in the flowers I chose the smallest word to stamp with that colour etc.

Using my fast fuse adhesive I adhered both the ribbon and sequin trim and the final step before attaching to the card base was to add the facueted gems to the centre of 3 of the flowers.
